Local fermentation education

  • Fermentation Fest - a yearly workshop series (fall) in Reedsburg, run by the Wormfarm Institute. 
  • The Low Technology Institute - often holds fermentation workshops and events in Evansville
  • Fermentation classes at UW Madison - mainly open to students, but there may be audit opportunities as well
  • Fermentation classes at Madison Area Technical College - also mainly open to students

Where to order cultures

  • Cultures for health - have a wide variety of starter cultures like yogurt, kombucha, kefir, sourdough, etc.
  • Organic cultures - another supplier, 100% organic
